Own It: Website Design Intensive for artists performers and creatives
This hands-on workshop will be presented by digital media specialist, artist, performer and interactive artist, Jessica Foli.
Websites and media communication are a key part of any artists brand. In this workshop you will learn about the elements that are key to effective and engaging website design. Maybe you have an existing website that’s in need of an upgrade and you don’t know where to start? Are the owner or manager of an arts organisation and unhappy with the website your current designers have built? Perhaps you don’t even have a website yet… and need a nudge in the right direction.
“Many workshops squash too much information into a long session, that miraculously claims to give you the tools you need. This workshop session is focused, to the point with no irrelevant mumbo-jumbo,” says Foli.
Learn about:
· How to structure and place information so that it is easy to find
· The types of website layouts and components that work best for your artist brand
· Website builders
· Outsourcing website designs: Don’t get confused by developer/tech jargon
· Questions every artist should ask their website designer/developer
As an artist that has worked in the media industry Foli brings a unique element to this workshop in that it is specifically tailored from an artist’s perspective to suit the everyday needs of all artists (from the young emerging artist to the up and coming professional).
