Jessica completed a Masters degree in Digital Arts specializing in Interactive Media at the University of the Witwatersrand. She also completed her Bachelor of Fine Art Degree, majoring in Sculpture at Rhodes University, South Africa in 2010. Here she also completed a major in Drama with specializations in Choreography and Dance Performance.
After completing her studies Jessica worked at a digital marketing agency in Cape Town; where she further developed a passion for all things digital. Deciding to leave the corporate space to pursue the arts, she then took up a position teaching a semester course at the University of Pretoria, Drama Department. Here she taught the Honours course, Digital Media in Theatre from 2013-2014. She has also acted as an external examiner for the first year movement exams at the same university.
She also worked as the Marketing Coordinator at Wits Art Museum (WAM), from 2014-2015 where she was responsible for creating the WAM twitter presence, growing their Facebook page, liaising with the media, copywriting, design as well as maintaining the WAM mailing list. She has also worked in a consulting capacity for various private and corporate clients; advising on social media best practice and fomulating creative digital strategy . Currently she works as an artist, educator and digital consultant.
